This first post is dedicated to my husband, Jordan. He puts up with all of my whims in a very supportive fashion. When I told him I wanted to take on a new hobby (making jewelry) he was not at all shocked. I suppose he has become immune to my eccentricities?
Thanks, Jordan, for never making me feel foolish for trying new things and always complementing my work even when it doesn't turn out how I wanted. You help me be less of a perfectionist and more of an enjoyist. Which is the whole point of having a hobby!
I am mostly self taught and develop many of my designs through simple experimentation. Discovering a new technique or applying an old technique in a new way is very exciting for me. I often have middle of the night "brain waves" and some not so brilliant, "brilliant ideas." It is what keeps the process fresh.
